Qualifications Required:
Hold a relevant Category B professional qualification (ACCA/ICSA/STEP Diploma)
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a Category B Employee under the TCB Codes of Practice and contribute to the formal span of control.
- Serve as a signatory for Baccata Trustees Limited and affiliated entities.
- Provide operational oversight and support to the operations team, Board, Committees and Departments with meeting their strategic goals whilst ensuring smooth and efficient business processes.
- Review operational processes, workflows, and systems; propose and implement improvements, including review and enhancement to existing policies and procedures for the business.
- Formulate, execute, monitor and take ownership of operational projects to manage the risks of the business and to meet its regulatory and legislative reporting requirements.
- Prepare internal correspondence, documentation, minutes and resolutions to a high standard as required.
- Compile and disseminate internal reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation is filed appropriately and oversee the team’s completion of the same.
- Examine database data to improve and enhance usage and efficiency of Quantios Core (“QCore”).
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way.
- Proficient in Quantios Core (“QCore”) and be a super user and a point of contact for QCore-related queries and training.
- Point of contact for all Committees and Department for all QCore reporting requirements and utilise the team to assist you with the reports.
- Manage staff, set performance goals, undertake appraisals and provide guidance and feedback.
- Participate in internal committees, subcommittees or working parties to support governance initiatives.
- Represent Baccata Group in external forums as required.
- Liaise with relevant departments of the Baccata Group (such as I.T./HR/Compliance) appropriately.
- Action any tasks required by the board or committee of the board within the timeframe agreed by the board or committee.
- Meet or substantially meet all the skills and competencies in the attached Table A.
- Attend CPD training in accordance with regulatory requirements and ensure that the same is adequate and relevant to the role and this job description.
- Comply with internal policies and procedures as well as current legislation in respect of the current TCB Codes of Practice.
- Abide by Baccata Group policies and procedures, AML training as amended from time to time.
- Any other reasonable task we ask you to perform.
Key skills and experience requirements
- Proven 6 years’ experience in the Jersey trust industry or a similar operational role, with at least 3 years at Assistant Manager/Manager level.
- Fully qualified to meet Category B requirements under JFSC Codes of Practice.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
- Self-motivated and driven with an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Experienced in managing staff and contributing to team development.
- Strong organisational and written communication skills.
- Strong communication and leadership skills,
- Strong understanding of Jersey trust, company, foundation, and limited partnership law.
- Good knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations of the business.
- Good awareness of fiduciary and regulatory risk.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and analytical abilities.
- Strong keyboard and numeracy skills.
- Developing strategic planning skills (with on-the-job training).
- Experience with QCore (Dynamics 365) and eDocs preferred (training provided).
- Entitled to work status in Jersey (minimum 5 years residency).
